MSNBC, Summit Entertainment has announced that the blockbuster flick TWILIGHT: BREAKING DAWN Part 1 has indeed outshined the $ 500 million mark world-wide at the box offices following simply TWELVE days of its announcement. Right after record sales over the longish Thanksgiving weekend, the film took in over $ 223 million in US ticket booth stubs alone.

In a statement, Rob Friedman and Patrick Wachsberger, co-chairmen of Summit Entertainment remarked, “We couldn’t be more pleased with the success of this film and a franchise that the fans have continued to support over the past several years.”

THE TWILIGHT SAGA film series stars Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson and sets forth the story of 17-year-old Bella Swan who moves to the small town of Forks, Washington to live with her father, and becomes drawn to Edward Cullen, a pale, mystical schoolmate who seems destined to push her apart. Nevertheless neither one are able to reject the attractive force which lures them together … so much as the moment Edward lets in on that he along with his family are vampires.

Part 2 of the vampire saga will most likely be unleashed in theaters on November 16, 2012.
