Mother Nature shows the world that she is without a doubt the world’s deadliest predator. Tropical Storm Agatha raged through Central America this past weekend and left nothing but immense devastation in its wake. It is being reported that at least 115 people were killed by the vicious storm with the death toll expected to rise.
Guatemala appears to have taken the brunt of the attack with roughly 90 people killed and hundreds abandoning their homes. Agatha is said to have caused numerous mudslides, flooding, and the collapsing of major bridges, highways, buildings and homes.
One of the most noticeable examples of Tropical Storm Agatha’s fury was the colossal sinkhole that it caused in Guatemala. The sinkhole reportedly devoured an entire 3 story building along with numerous homes in the surrounding area. So far only one person is reported dead as a result of the sinkhole.
As of now parts of Central America are in a state of emergency. It would appear that Mother Nature has officially announced the beginning of hurricane season 2010.
