Singer and actress, Tamyra Gray, is expecting her first child in July. This will be the first child for Gray and her husband, Sam Watters, who were married in Capri, Italy in 2006 on Valentine’s Day.
Watters is a music producer who has produced and written songs for artists such as Kelly Clarkson, Jessica Simpson and Celine Dion. He was also in the R&B group Color me Badd in the 90′s.
Gray was fourth runner up in 2002 of the first season of American Idol. Since competing on American Idol, Gray has performed in several plays on Broadway including “Bombay Dreams” in 2005 and “Rent” in 2007. She has also made several guest appearances on television including a seven episode role in “Boston Public” in 2003 as well as starring in several films. There are no plans by the couple to find out if the baby is a boy or girl.
