Twilight fans everywhere can now put their curiosity to rest. It has just been announced that the fourth installment of The Twilight Saga, “Breaking Dawn” will be split into two separate films.

This decision comes in after months of deliberating between the Twilight Saga author Stephanie Meyers, writers, and studios execs. The concern between those involved was that they would not be able to fit all the elements that fans would expect into only one film.

“Breaking Dawn” is the longest book in the Twilight Saga with over 800 pages of material. Considering the immensity of the book those behind the global phenomenon knew that the movie had to be either very long, over the two and a half hour mark or be separated into two separate films.

“Breaking Dawn” chronicles the marriage between Bella (Kristen Stewart) and Edward (Robert Pattinson), the birth of their child Renesmee, Bella’s transformation into becoming a vampire and the Cullen’s battle to save them all, along with the help of the werewolves and fellow vampires.

It appears that Twilight fans will be able to enjoy their beloved characters for a few more years on the big screen. Fan favorites Taylor Lautner (Jacob Black), Ashley Greene (Alice Cullen), Kellan Lutz (Emmet Cullen), Elizabeth Reaser (Esme Cullen), Billy Burke (Charlie Swan), Nikki Reed (Rosalie Hale), Jackson Rathbone (Jasper Hale), and Peter Facinelli (Dr. Carlisle Cullen) are all scheduled to return for both of the final films.

The third installment of The Twilight Saga, “Eclipse” opens in theater later this month, June 30, and will be followed by part 1 of the fourth installment “Breaking Dawn” in November of 2011.
