Advertising Takes on a Whole New Twist with Legal Marketing

| July 10, 2010

The News Gals (Press Release) – July 10th, 2010

The terms ‘legal’ and ‘marketing’ normally do not go together.  But there is a new and innovative way to run your law firm sweeping the legal fraternity.  It’s known as legal marketing.  No, it does not mean making your marketing legal.  It does mean marketing your legal services.

Traditional means of advertising your legal services would normally entail word of mouth publicity, business cards and printed media.  That has become old school.  What new school marketing introduces is the use of powerful means of communication to advertise your law practice.  Since the start of the Internet, communication has taken on new forms.  The World Wide Web itself has experienced rapid change in the 30 plus years since its inception.  What started off as a collection of a few kilobytes of static data on a computer screen has given way to what is today known as Web 2.0, the user-driven style of communication.  And what legal marketing strives to do is equip lawyers to ride on this new wave of communicating with the masses.

Ask any lawyer what terms like Web 2.0, SEO, SERP, LSI, social media, CPC, CPV, CPA, email marketing and keyword density mean and you would get a puzzled look 9 times out of 10.  Yet these are the very ingredients in the Internet’s powerful means of communication that is taking the world by storm.  Legal marketing intends to change all that.  Through legal marketing, lawyers can learn to utilize the power of the Internet and Web 2.0 to promote their legal services.

Traditional means of advertising is limited by various factors such as locality and the code of ethics of the Bar.  If you put an ad in the print media, it is seen only as widely as the publication is distributed.  But on the other hand, if you start a Facebook fan page, it can be seen by anyone in any country with an Internet connection.  People are so connected and mobile these days that it is not too far-fetched to have someone in Germany have a friend in the United States who needs legal advice.  So the person in Germany who comes across your American Facebook fan page can easily recommend your services to his friend living in your locality.

What I have written here is not even the tip of the iceberg of all that is to know about this new and innovative means of promoting your legal services.  If you are interested in learning how to market your legal services in these powerful non-traditional ways, log on to   This website is the first of its kind, dedicated to equipping lawyers in legal marketing.  There are videos, articles and lots of other great content that can potentially double or triple your income.  You will also learn tons of cutting-edge marketing tactics for free that you can use to promote your services by joining its innovative webinars.
